Blue Pilot has regulatory authority to supply electricity to business and residential customers in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland and Ohio. The company is also authorized to supply natural gas to business and residential customers in Maryland and Ohio.
Blue Pilot is also authorized to act as a broker, load aggregator and power marketer in the New England Power Pool, or NEPOOL.
The company’s membership in the PJM Interconnection LLC regional transmission organization, or RTO, allows Blue Pilot to assist in coordinating the movement of wholesale electricity in all or part of 13 states and the District of Columbia along the Eastern Interconnection grid.
Blue Pilot is also pursuing certification to become a retail natural gas supplier in Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, or FERC, has approved Blue Pilot to conduct sales of energy, capacity, and ancillary services at market-based rates.
